This guide takes you step by step through the process required to remove the buttons on the Amazon Fire remote. This task is simple and should not take more than a few minutes. To complete this you will need a plastic opening tool, triangle screwdriver, and a pair of precision tweezers. If you follow the easy steps you will successfully remove the buttons on the remote.

To remove the buttons use the blue plastic opening tool to pry out the outer ring.

Remove the inner disk.
BEWARE! I took the circular button off because, after dropping the remote, the circle would not press down on the right side, however, all of the other functions (up, down, left and the center select button were working fine). After popping the circular button out and putting it back in, now none of the controls will press down. I'm sure it probably just needs to be aligned better but how exactly?

Remove the 6mm triangle screw.
Which screw driver you used for this, i looked at online and not sure size of screw.
Mine does not have a screw under the button? So what now. It looks as if the remote has side clips that hold it togather?
