Introduction
The flash assembly is a retractable light bulb fixture that displays a quick burst of background light emited from a light bulb.
This guide will provide an outline of how to replace the flash assembly on the Canon PowerShot A80 camera. The flash assembly is a retractable light bulb fixture that displays a quick burst of background light emitted from a light bulb. With extended use, the flash assembly light bulb can run out and, hence, needs to be replaced for the camera to operate correctly.
In order to avoid any damage to the camera, please ensure the environment is entirely dry and free of any water that could accidentally get spilled on the sensitive camera electronics. Also, ensure the camera is turned off to avoid any damage to the camera's motherboard (see step 15).
Exercise caution in step 5 when removing the lid from the main body. The mylar cable attached to the top lid is fragile and might get damaged or disconnected from the top lid.
