My replacement display had some adhesive residue on it. Use isopropyl alcohol and a plastic pick/pry tool to remove any residue on the new display.

The area marked in yellow is where the new adhesive is applied. Clean it well with isopropyl and avoid touching it while new adhesive is installed.

Using tweezers to help placement, install 4 strips of double sided tape around the inset border of the display. I used Tesa 61395 1mm double sided tape, but similar tapes can be used.

Using tweezers again, peel off the protective backing of the tape to expose the adhesive.

Align and firmly press the display to the frame to adhere them together. If your display has a peel "assist" tab for the protective film on the display like mine does, either remove the peel or use tweezers to guide it through the frame so it doesn't get caught.

Make sure the display orientation is correct before installing. The cable comes out of the display on the top side of the frame, where "Nikon" is labelled on the other side.

Reinstall the midframe on the display assembly before reconnecting the display.
