  • 1 × Multimeter—Use DC mode to confirm cell voltage polarity.
  • 1 × Alumunum tape—Used to hold the cell leads.
  • 1 × Utility Knife—Used to cut the wrapping. Substitute with scissors if needed.
  • 1 × Liquid electrical tape—Used for cell protection.
  • 1 × CR2032 Lithium Battery—Can be found in many drug stores and big box retailers. This cell is the most common.
  • 1 × CR2025 coin cell—Can be found in many drug stores and big box retailers. This cell is nearly as common as the 2032, but has less runtime; can be used in place of a 2032.
  • 1 × CR 2016 3V Lithium Batteries—Can be found in many drug stores and big box retailers. Most laptops do not use these, but some do such as some old HP nc series machines.
