Thanks for the links. Looks like with the prices they're charging, it would cost about $20 by the time shipping was added. I might have to do what this YouTube video shows - un-solder the volume control from the board so I can open it up and clean the contact area really good and see what happens. Pioneer deck volume control doesn’t work. easy fix.
The volume control on my Pioneer MVH-S312BT has been giving me fits for quite a while now. I ordered a Bourns PEC16-4025F-N0024 Rotary Encoder from Digi-Key only to find out it won't fit my radio. I wish I knew what the correct part would be to fix my situation. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer. I've tried washing it out with some mass air flow sensor cleaner that helps but it's not a fix. The picture above shows my control compared to the Bourns PEC16-4025F-N0024 Update (10/01/2022): Spraying the cleaner in the volume control wasn't working as well as it did at first and not knowing anyway to find a replacement, I decided to try unsoldering it and following the fix from the YouTube video I posted above. That seems to have worked. I wiped the inside of the control with some rubbing alcohol and just slightly raised the wiper blades a little before putting it back together and soldering it back in.
