Computer Not Powering On
The HP ProBook is not responsive or showing any signs of not powering on.
Faulty Power Adapter
Ensure that the adapter is plugged in to a power outlet. If the adapter is plugged in and you notice your HP ProBook is not charging or turns off while plugged in, the adapter may be faulty. Consider trying it in different outlets prior to replacing it.
Faulty Battery
Once the adapter is plugged in, and ensured that it is receiving power, make sure the adapter is plugged in to the HP ProBook. If the laptop powers on only when the adapter is plugged in regardless of the time spent charging, then the battery is faulty. Replace the battery using this guide.
Faulty Charging Port
If the HP ProBook’s charging port is really loose when plugging in the adapter, or it will not charge unless the adapter is positioned in a certain manner, then the charging port may be faulty. Replace the charging port using this guide.
No Display
The monitor on your HP ProBook does not show anything, but you know the computer is turned on.
Display is Disabled
Make sure the display is not accidentally disabled. To do this, press the “fn” in the lower corner of the keyboard, then press “F2.” If the display was disabled by accident, then this will re-enable the display. If this does not work, repeat it once more.
If the above action does not fix the problem, hold down the Windows key, and then push “P” twice. The computer may have been previously set to “Projector mode;” doing the action above will convert it back to “Computer Only.”

Audio is Distorted
Difficulty listening to sounds on your computer.
Loose Headphone Jack
Test audio through the computer speakers, then test it using headphones. If the audio is only distorted while listening via headphones, the audio jack or the headphones themselves may be faulty. Audio that cuts in and out is often a sign of a loose audio jack, so make sure the audio jack is fully inserted in the computer.
Faulty Speakers
If the sound is functioning properly when using headphones but the audio is distorted, there are popping sounds, or it turns on and off, you may have faulty speakers. replace the speakers using this guide.
Faulty Driver
If the audio sound is distorted when listening through the laptop’s speakers, the audio driver may be corrupt. Search for HP ProBook x360 11 G5 EE. Click “HP ProBook x360 11 G5 EE,” then click “Drivers & Software.” Click the “Audio” tab and select and download the appropriate driver. Go to Control Panel -> Device Manager -> Sound Controllers. Click on your sound card and click “Update driver.” Select your updated driver, then restart the computer.
No Wi-Fi Connectivity
Unable to connect to any networks via wireless connectivity.
No Available Networks
Check to make sure there are available wireless networks to connect to in the Network and Internet settings on the bottom corner of the screen. If none appear, restart your HP ProBook, as well as your wireless router.
You can contact your service provider to ensure that you are getting the correct service as well.
Faulty Wireless Connection
If the previous step did not work, attempt to connect the HP ProBook directly to the router via LAN cable. If the connection is successful, you may have a faulty wireless card.
Faulty Wireless Card
If the connection for the Wi-Fi keeps on connecting and disconnecting, has a weak connection, or simply cannot find any networks regardless of troubleshooting, you may have a faulty wireless card. To replace the wireless card, use this guide.
