Mouse double clicks when clicked once

-When the mouse is clicked once it double clicks

Update has affected the mouse keys

Sometimes after Windows updates, the Razer mouse has issues with clicking twice. If this occurs press on the Windows Key and the X key at the same time to open up the Power User Menu, then select “Device Manager.” When this opens, find your Razer DeathAdder mouse and double-click on it to open up the “Properties” menu. Go into the “Driver” tab and click on the button that says Roll Back Driver.”Wait for the roll-back process to render. Restart your computer. Wait for it to boot back up completely.

Default driver not set

If the solution above did not help you might want to use the default driver. First, press on the Windows Key and the X key at the same time to open up the Power User Menu then select “Device Manager.” When this opens, find your Razer DeathAdder mouse and right-click on the mouse, and choose the “Uninstall” option. Restart your computer. Wait for it to boot back up completely. This will force the computer to use the default driver.

Mouse speed not on correct setting

The double-clicking could be the result of the click speed settings being wrong and they need to be reset. Open up the Control Panel by pressing the Windows Key and the S key simultaneously, then typing in “Control Panel” and selecting it on the results. Change the view from “Category View” to “Large Icon View.” Then locate your Razer DeathAdder mouse and click to change the settings. Look through the menu to find the “Double-Click Speed” section. You should see a slider bar there. You may need to try a few different things, as people have found success in various options. Some suggest putting it to the highest possible speed first, while others suggest reducing it. Whatever you do, you can always change it. After you are finished making changes, click on “Apply” and then “OK” to save the changes. Restart your computer so that the changes take hold.

Mouse Bluetooth connection failure

-The mouse is failing to connect to the computer via Bluetooth

DeathAdder mouse not switched to Bluetooth mode

The DeathAdder v2 Pro uses two different methods of wireless connectivity: hyperspeed and Bluetooth. The mouse uses only one of the two methods at any given time, so to enable Bluetooth connectivity, make sure that you’ve selected BT under the mouse using the slider switch. If it’s set to either 2.4 or OFF, it won’t be able to pair with Bluetooth.

Bluetooth isn't actually connected

The mouse can say it is connected to your Bluetooth devices on your PC but not actually connected so it cannot broadcast messages. Press and hold both side buttons and the DPI-up button at the same time for three seconds to put the device in pairing mode. The logo should blink twice in repeated intervals to indicate that it is in pairing mode. Your PC should now be able to see the mouse again for re-pairing when you search for it. When the mouse has paired, the Razer logo will briefly turn solid blue before displaying its lighting effect.

The Bluetooth connectivity is limited to 30 feet, but the range can be limited to less than that. To make sure there is a strong signal it's best to keep the mouse close to the PC.

Spontaneous "Sleep Mode"

-Mouse randomly goes into "sleep mode" during moments of inactivity

Save power options are enabled

The DeathAdder V2 mouse has USB properties that allow the computer to turn off the device in order to save power. These properties, when enabled, may cause the gaming mouse to unexpectedly power down. To disable this, go to device manager in the start menu, next go to the USB controllers tab, and finally under the "power management" tab, uncheck each box that is titled "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power."

Optic sensor isn't clean

If the laser sensor on the gaming mouse is not clean enough, it can have trouble registering movement which can cause it to go into "sleep mode". To fix this, simply turn the gaming mouse over, and with a q-tip and some rubbing alcohol clean the sensor. Dip the q-tip in the alcohol and gently swab the sensor.

Razer synapse app isn't downloaded

Another possible solution is to download the app titled "Razer Synapse", and under the calibration module make sure the default states "no calibration," and the box for this option is checked. This can help ensure that the mouse will stay awake longer.

No connection between computer and gaming mouse

-You experience trouble connecting, or maintaining a connection, between the Razer gaming mouse and computer.

Power switch isn't on

Sometimes the connection failure may be as simple as the power not being on for the devices. Check the mouse itself and the dongle that you put into the computer to make sure they're ready to work. Flip your mouse over and make sure it's switched on.

Signal Interference

If other devices, wireless or not, are near the computer and gaming mouse, there can be some signal interference making it difficult to establish a connection. Try to move as many other signal sources (devices) away from the setup as you can. This will help strengthen the mouse-computer connection.

Not enough charge

All wireless mice are rechargeable or run-on batteries. If the power/charge is low enough, it can keep the mouse from working, or even from just performing the best it can. Make sure the Razer gaming mouse is properly recharged, or has its batteries replaced with fresh ones.

The Scroll wheel is too sensitive

-The mouse pointer travels faster than intended when the scroll wheel is moved.

The sensitivity of the scroll wheel is not well configured

There are three options you can use to reduce the sensitivity of the scroll wheel on window. In the settings type mouse in the search bar, and under the mouse property window, you can either adjust the speed of the scroll wheel numerically by typing value until the desired sensitivity is obtained. Or you can adjust the cursor speed bar to your convenience. You can also adjust the lines of scrolls in the control panel.

The mouse has accumulated dust

The mouse may accumulate some dirt overtime causing malfunctioning of the sensor which can affect the performance of the scroll wheel. Blowing some air around the wheel can help remove the dust and enhance the wheel functioning.

The Cursor suddenly freezes for 30 seconds to 1 minute during activity

-The cursor completely stop working while moving it

The battery of the mouse is damaged or exhausted

Most wireless mouse use battery, and when the battery runs out of power or stop working properly, this may cause the the cursor to freeze. Changing the battery or switching it to a new one can resolve the frozen cursor.

The precision of the mouse pointer set by default cause it to lag

Windows enables the precision pointer of the mouse by default. Over time, this feature can cause the mouse to lag. Disabling it can prevent the mouse cursor from freezing. To disable the pointer precision, press the windows and the R key, and in the pop out window type control. Once the control panel is opened, click on the large icons option close to the "view by" and click on Mouse. Under the "Pointer Option" tab, unselect the "Enhance pointer precision" checkbox. Finally, chick "Apply" and "Ok" to make this change effective.

The driver of the mouse is outdated

If you are not using an updated version of the device driver, this may be the reason your cursor is freezing. You can update your device driver by pressing the windows and the R key, and in the pop out window type "devmgmt.msc" and press enter. Expand the "Mice and other pointing devices" dropdown. Then, right-click on the device and select "Update driver." Choose "search automatically for drivers," this will search and install the latest device drivers from the internet. After the updated driver has been installed, verify if the cursor is working properly.

The "DPI" button is unresponsive.

-After a few uses, the "DPI" button stops working.

The Razer synapse is outdated

Downloading the most updated Razer synapse can resolve the functioning of the "dpi" button. Having the synapse open when attempting to use the DPI button.

The DPI sensitivity is set too high

The DPI sensitivity has been set too high and depending on the mouse, you will have a low DPI, at 100, or a high DPI, at 26,000. You can change the DPI sensitivity by adjusting the sensitivity up and down buttons on the mouse. Then adjust the dpi to a sensitivity level that accommodates you.

Windows fails to start up during use, especially when switching accounts.

-When switching from one account to another, windows fails to start.

Software conflicts occur while running programs in windows or switching accounts

Sometimes the using the gaming mouse, especially during a Bluetooth connection, may interfere with Windows opening. Try restarting the computer if this occurs, to help reboot the system and reconnect the mouse. Because you are restarting the computer, you will most likely need to have a system recovery stick to restore anything. Having a USB will be helpful for restoring anything you want to recover before you do a backup.
