Sony Xperia T2 Ultra Dual Troubleshooting

Note: This troubleshooting guide covers only the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra Dual. Other Sony phone models will be covered in other troubleshooting guides.

Your phone tends to drain the battery faster than normal

When you have multiple applications running in the background, it requires more processing power which drains the battery life faster. The bottom right button on the screen with the 2 windows above each other will allow you to close running applications with a swipe of the finger.

There are multiple battery saving modes in the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra Dual that can be accessed through the settings power management tab. These battery saving modes work to save power by turning off functions that you don't need when your device isn't in use, automatically starts saving power when the battery reaches a certain charge level, and sets your device to only activate the Wi-Fi® function when it comes within range of a saved Wi-Fi® network.

If the above does not work, you need to change the battery. The steps for accomplishing this will be detailed in a battery replacement guide.

The sound of the speaker is low in volume.

Raise the volume by pressing the volume button on the right side of the phone.

If the sound is still not loud enough or cracking noise even after the above troubleshooting, you need to change the internal speaker. The steps for accomplishing this will be detailed in a speaker replacement guide.

If you don’t get adequate sound or the audio is not playing properly in the headphones, you want to try a new pair of headphones to make sure it is not the headphone jack component that is broken.

If the above solution did not work, you should replace the headphone jack. The steps for accomplishing this will be detailed in a headphone jack replacement guide.

There may be a problem with clarity, black screen and distorted colors in the picture.

If you are not getting a clear image, there are two things you can try. First, attempt to make the camera more steady. If this does not produce the desired result, you can utilize the phones auto focus option by tapping the square on the middle of the screen.

If not getting a clear image or a black screen, there are a few things that could be happening. You could potentially have a dirty lens or be covering the camera. If you have a dirty camera lens, you can clean both the front and rear facing camera with a microfiber cloth to avoid scratches. If you get a black screen, check to make sure that you are not placing your finger over the front or rear camera accidently.

When using the front or back facing cameras, if there are distorted colors in the picture being taken, there could be a lighting issue. To resolve the lighting issue, you can try to find better lighting for where the picture is being taken or could try turning on the internal flash by pressing the flash icon on the top part of the camera screen.
