Blocked Ventilation
The ventilation path for the fan may be obstructed by dust and/or debris. Visually check the vents for any blockage. If dust and/or debris is found, use compressed air to blow out any dust. If cleaning out the vents does not fix the problem, the heat sink may be broken or clogged. Use this guide to replace your heat sink.
Broken Fan
While your computer is running place the bottom of the laptop against your ear. If you do not hear the whirring sound of a fan, the fan may be broken. You can use this guide to replace the fan.
