Shiny spot on screen when turned on, glass is fine. What broke?

I'm trying to figure out what type of damage this is to the screen.

The screen still works but it looks like it has a streak running from the bottom left side up to the middle. It almost looks like it is a bit shinier. When it is turned off it has no noticeable damage.

I think it could be related to pressure damage because the laptop was on my back during a bumpy car ride and it's possible there was some excess pressure on it.

My best guess is some of the coating came off or the LCD got damaged.

.To add some further context I walked outside briefly with it in the rain and it was stuck in a car on a very hot day the day before. It was about 110f outside

It shows up the best on a white background.

What do you think is broken and is it repairable?

that does look like pressure marks. You can only either learn to live with it or replace the dispaly assembly MacBook Pro 13" Retina Display Early 2015 Display Assembly Replacement

Heat and pressure could cause it. The rain is most likely not the issue here.
