Asus 1215B does not charge the battery.

Hi, I have a problem with my Asus. When I plug in the power supply, the battery doesn't charge. The power supply has the correct voltage. I'm attaching the BatteryMon screenshot.

If it’s an older laptop, most likely the battery will need to be replaced. Batteries are consumable items whether it’s a TV remote or a car battery, it’ll need to get replaced at some point.

BatteryMon shows a voltage of ~7V to 8V and the battery should be 10.8V. So it's probably due to the battery?

Most likely a dead cell then, so yes a bad battery. And voltage is a measurement of charge, not capacity. A bad battery can show gold voltage but as soon as you put a load on it, that voltage can drop.
