2013 Nissan Altima backup camera switch addition, need help with wirin

Hello. So I have a 2013 Nissan Altima 2.5L SV Sedan without Bose and without Navigation. I'm currently in the middle of figuring out how to wire an off/on switch to my factory pre-installed reverse camera so that I can display the camera image at will without needing to be in reverse. I have already figured out that the reverse lights power positive is one of the 3 sky blue wires connecting to the tail lights in the back of the vehicle. What I need to figure out is where the camera connects to the reverse power positive, so I can tap my switch into it and add diodes to the rest of the connections to stop the reverse lights from coming on when my switch turns the camera on. Can anyone tell me where that connection is? What wire I need to tap my switch into? Any suggestions? All help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi @dongkongtheone ,

Here's the 2013 Nissan Altima Service Repair Manual (SM3E-1L33U1)

Click on Cruise Control & Driver Assistance > Drive Assistance System to download the section of the manual that has full details regarding the rear view camera.

Haven’t been through it all but it is quite comprehensive.

Hopefully a start

Hi Brenson:

I would start here and download your Altima year and model wiring diagram. I'm assuming you have some understanding of how to interpret one of these given you can find and identify wires in a harness using a probe and understand the function of diodes etc.
