Why my screen has lines and is distorted at times, also blinks a lot?

To make sure it is your LCD that may have issues, connect an external monitor to your Surface. You will need a DP (DisplayPort) connector to get this accomplished. If that monitorshows a clear picture, (without the lines etc.) you know that the problem is your LCD dispaly. If an external monitor displays the same issues as your LCD, you know that this problem is caused by your GPU etc. which will compliocate the repair.
