My laptop wont power

Use a voltmeter and check that there is 19V DC at the DC plug at the charger. Flex the cable between the charger and the DC power plug at the end of the cable to make sure that the output is constant and not varying, disappearing, coming back etc due to a faulty cable.

If you don't have a voltmeter then try using a another known working, compatible charger and check if that works OK or not

If the charger is OK (or a compatible known working charger also doesn't work) then it may be a faulty DC-In jack (supplier example only) in the laptop.

What happens is that the +ve centre pin of the jack breaks internally and this can create an intermittent connection between the charger and the motherboard so that the battery can't be charged and eventually goes flat and can't turn on the laptop and the motherboard also gets no continuous power allowing it to turn on either.

You need to open the laptop and check that there is a continuous 19V DC at the cable plug that connects the DC-In jack to the motherboard. Here's the ifixit Acer Aspire 3 A315-21-92FX guides that may help with opening the laptop

If the jack is faulty it will need to be replaced as it cannot be repaired. The supplier shown above was only an example to show you what the part looked like. Search online for Acer Aspire 3 A315-21-92FX DC-In jack to find suppliers that suit you best.

If the jack is OK, then further testing of the motherboard using the schematics would be required to find out what's wrong.

The charger will turn itself off if it detects a power problem. Acer laptops are notorious for blowing power mosfets. YouTube northridge fix. He is always fixing Acer laptops with power problems.
