My Panasonic TX-P42GT50b will turn off almost immediately after being turned on and then the standby light will proceed to flash 12 times. What problem could be causing this and how can I fix it?

@iambelen 12 blink error code on yourTV model is showing as a Sound SOS. Caused by either a bad A-board or the speakers (including woofer). Try to disconnect the speakers and see if that changes anything.
@iambelen yes. the complete board where the sheetmetal is bolted to, is the A-board. That is where the Audio Amplifier circuit sits. as well where the feedback for the 12 Blink code originates from. The connector A12 on that board should be for the speaker cables.

@oldturkey03 might be a dumb question on my part, but where are the speakers? and is the a-board that entire section or just the metallic bit that you're pointing to?

@oldturkey03 I tried disconnecting A12 and then turning the tv back on and nothing changed. Is there anything else I should try?
@iambelen okay so no change with the speakers disconnected. Can you get a couple of close up of that particular "A-Board"? LEt's see if we can find something obvious. After that the only thing to do would be to change the board. I would dislike for you to have to spend money unnecessarily.

Can you take the back off the TV and upload pictures of the circuit boards? Adding images to an existing question
