Air-conditioning temperature control issue
The automatic climate control system does not function properly upon starting the vehicle. The AC fails to blow cold air at standard temperature settings (e.g., 22°C / 72°F) and will only begin cooling if the thermostat is manually forced to its absolute lowest setting ("MAX AC" / "LO"). Once the cabin cools down under this maximum setting, the temperature can then be adjusted back up to a preferred comfortable level, and it will hold that temperature normally for the remainder of the drive. This issue occurs every time the car is started.

This can be an expensive, time consuming repair performed by repair shops or dealer, or by yourself if you are comfortable using service manuals and can diagnose, troubleshoot and use tools including a multimeter. You can always get an estimated cost from several repair shops and dealer otherwise you might consider it more expensive than its worth and accept this as a working solution on an aging vehicle.
