Background and Identification
The Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX was released on January 26, 2012 by Verizon Wireless as an alternative to the original DROID RAZR. The major difference was the higher capacity 3,300mAh battery. Due to this larger battery, the overall thickness of the phone was increased to 8.99mm. Though the RAZR MAXX is thicker than the boldly stated "thinnest android" that the original RAZR was, it’s still a viably thin and lightweight phone.
The DROID RAZR MAXX is a phone that easily stands out with its squared edges, as well as a rectangular hump on the back of the phone that gives it a unique look. The back of the phone is made out of Kevlar giving it a smooth and thin surface, as well as providing scratch resistance.
