Phone will not turn on or turns off periodically

No matter what you do, you cannot get your Droid DNA to turn on.

Battery needs charging.

Everyone forgets to charge their phone every once in a while! Try plugging the phone into a power source using the appropriate charger.

Bad Battery

There are several problems your phone battery might have with different symptoms. The most obvious sign of a bad battery is that the cell phone shuts itself off. Other common symptoms include: the charge does not last, the battery is swollen, or there is excessive heat coming from your phone. If any of these are the case, your battery may need to be replaced. Here is a link to a replacement guide for the battery:

Bad display

It is possible that the phone appears to be off because of a bad LCD Screen. You may need to replace the LCD screen. (GUIDE URL WILL BE UP SOON)

Bad motherboard

Another possible root of the problem could be that your phone's motherboard is fried. Your motherboard may need to be replaced. Here is a replacement guide for the motherboard:

Phone will not charge

Despite how long you plug in your charger, your phone will not charge.

Cable Malfunction

It is entirely possible that the problem does not lie with your phone. Sometimes, the charging cables have broken wires or a broken micro USB connector. Try using a different cable to charge your device, if available.

Bad Battery

If the phone is able to charge, but the charge does not last very long, your battery is most likely dying and may need replacement. Here is a link to a replacement guide for the battery:

SIM card error message

A SIM card identifies you as a mobile subscriber and holds anywhere from 32KB to 128 KB of data from your phone. If a SIM card error message appears on your phone's screen, it is likely due to one of the following issues.

Reset SIM Card

There are times when the SIM card loses connection to the phone. Try removing the SIM card and putting it back to the phone.

Restart Phone

Restart the phone to reestablish the SIM card connection. If you are still getting a SIM card error message, the next solution may be your best bet.

Bad SIM Card

When the phone gives a SIM card error message, the problem usually lies in the SIM card being faulty. If the SIM Card is malfunctioning, it most likely needs to be replaced. Here is a replacement guide for the SIM Card:

Phone runs slowly

Your Droid DNA does not seem to be running as quickly as it did when you first got it.

Overloaded Cache

One simple reason that your DNA is moving slowly is that the cache may be overloaded. Try clearing the cache through stock recovery. You will not lose any data or anything so do not worry! Here are the steps you will need to follow:

1. Shut down the device.

2. Hold down the volume down and the power button simultaneously until you boot into the HBOOT Menu

3. Select the RECOVERY option using the volume buttons

4. Your phone will show the white HTC screen, then you will see a black screen. It will take a while but it will say "Failed to mount SD" four times. Wait until it turns into a red triangle with an exclamation point inside the triangle and from there, hold down the Volume Up and then press the Power button. You will see a small list, this is stock recovery.

5. Select wipe/cache.

Factory Reset

As a last resort, you can try doing a factory reset. WARNING! This will remove all data on your phone, so back up any important files to an SD (Secure Digital) card before doing a factory reset. Here are the steps you will need to follow:

1. Press and hold the VOLUME DOWN button, and then press and hold the POWER button.

2. Wait for the screen with the three Android images to appear, and then release the POWER and VOLUME DOWN buttons.

3. Press VOLUME DOWN to select FACTORY RESET, and then press the POWER button.

Phone camera will not turn on

The camera app freezes or the camera will not take pictures.

Force the Camera App to Stop

Sometimes the camera app freezes, and simply forcing the app to stop will solve the problem. You can do this by going into Settings>Applications>Select all, and then find the camera application and then hit the buttons "Clear Data," "Clear Defaults" and then "Force Stop."

Factory Reset

See the Factory Reset instructions above.

Bad Camera

Occasionally, the front or back camera is causing the malfunction, not the phone. in this case the broken camera may need to be replaced. Here are the replacement guides for the front-facing and rear-facing cameras:
