Ring Video Doorbell Troubleshooting

i have the ring 2 but my inside chime doesnt work. What do i do? i am running on battery power, do i need to buy another chime?

I have Ring Video Door Bell for 5 moths , It stopped working . I called their tech support 3 times and they helped without any resuls. I cannt get bell sound  on my  regular house bell. Ring  battery goes down, I cannot connect to it at my work

 any help ?

Ring wired camera- Incoming audio is inaudible and very choppy. Visitor can hear me just fine. Suggestions?

Disappointed that door bell charge wasn’t lasting 2 weeks, then ring said to check if charging. It was finally, very slowly. But then after charging, it lasted less than 2 weeks. The whole thing is only a few months old, and I made the mistake/choice of buying the network to play the bell around the house. So now I’m going to try the upgrade and hope that it works. Disappointing. Now it seems all the new ring.coms are hard-wired. I must be the last person to make the mistake of thinking battery-operated was easier. So disappointing.

All of a sudden my Ring camera starts recording after the motion. When someone walks up my stairs, the recording shows them walking into my house. Before, it showed them walking up the stairs. I checked my settings, and they are the same. Could the latest update have caused this?

Ring is OK but over hyped.

Our cameras work intermittently so we might see a delivery truck but not the delivery from other cameras. Add to the fact that when I get an alert on my phone it is way to late to report a break in or damage to my home/intruder.

Installed a Wi-Fi extender from Ring, don’t waste your money-it didn’t help.

All of our electronics get full service at every camera placement but Ring cameras don’t.

I suppose you get your monies worth? Or maybe not??

Sent many E-mails to Ring and like so may others, never got a response.

I’ll depend on ammo in addition to Ring products!

Why does Ring seem to NEED access to my phone's microphone before they allow me tp SEE my live view?

Live view works perfectly, but as soon as I revoke access to my phone's microphone (something I personally do NOT need ) the live VIEW no longer functions!

Why?

Am I only allowed to use their product if they can listen in on everything via my phone?!

My motion alert has NO sound when someone is at the door alerts are vibrating instead I want sound. …been trying to fix this for weeks. ..installed in another phone same thing NO sound please help.

Have serious problems with delay of push and chime doorbell. It is so upsetting and happened after couple of months in operation. Now considering to take equipment off and use alternative as it is super annoying that someone comes knocking at the backdoor as the bell didn't chime. Bad product.

Anytime I try to talk by using the microphone, the video stops and has to restart again. What can I do to fix it?

Plunger type old doorbell hums loudly , I replaced transformer because voltage dropped to 13 volts . I have 20 volts now but still hums and plunger coil gets pretty warm. Anyone know how to resolve this ? Everything else works great with this but battery wont last if I don’t get it hardwired.

Ring doorbell is not worth the money. I have 128 MPS. All it does is sit and spin showing “Activating Device”. It is 10 feet from my Night Hawk router.

I recently discovered that my Ring app could no longer go into "Live View" mode whenever I was connected to my Verizon network (i.e. Mobile Data). It worked fine when I was on my home network, or at a free WiFi location (like a restaurant), but NOT when on Verizon's Mobile Data network. I tried it on my wife's phone (same exact make and model, Samsung S10) and it worked fine. I compared our "settings" in the Ring app . . . nothing noticeably different. Then I went and checked the settings for Mobile Data. My phone had the "Data Saver" feature turned-on, hers did NOT. I turned-off "Data Saver" and, viola . . . my phone can now go into "Live View" mode :-) I've had this mode turned-on for as long as I can remember, so, something at Verizon (or in the Android OS) must have changed in the past few weeks.

Have a ring 2, motion alert go’s off at least 20 times a day with no activity around. Have watched out the window as alert sounded and nothing. If I would have known the problems with this product I would not have bought it. Any one I talk to who say’s they are thinking of purchasing one I tell them to buy a different brand or none at all.

My ring doorbell 2 won’t connect anymore password the same but not wanting to connect! Wtf! The idiots in c/s are just about useless I’m sorry to say. All the did is repeat everything I told them! The ring device should be able to be set up online with out using the ring device it’s self! My $20 bucks Wyze cameras working fine! But the expensive ring not working at all! I have 2 year warranty and I’ll see if I can talk to a live person.

I have already changed password a few days ago and once again it is asking to change password and NOT allowing me to view my door I need instructions on how to remove this!

I cannot access my account to get it working. My email and password is accepted. It says it will text a verification code but i never receive it.

All ring products have terrible Wi-Fi radios…

They must have used the cheapest solution.

Forget watching current live video, it's a mess. Lagging, smearing and tearing of video is common. Amazon SHOULD step up and repair this poor quality product, but I'm not holding my breath…

I have two video ring doorbells, both with issues.

Backdoor – Ring Video Doorbell – Basically works but the circular light is constantly on which drains the battery very quickly.

Front Door – Ring Video Doorbell 2 – Has stopped working altogether. Cannot set up the device with a fully charged battery. Have checked the battery and there is 1v, 2v & 3v from the various terminals. The circular light does not operate.

Please advise how this can be fixed?

why does my doorbell talk during the night

Installed a ring 2 doorbell this morning, when the live button is pressed it never opens. If the doorbell button is pressed and the someone is at door message comes and you hit that it opens. What would cause it to not open with just the live button.

I have 5 echo devices including an echo show. If someone rings the doorbell my echo show opens live view. I’ll get a message on my iPad and iPhone but I do not get a doorbell ringtone on any of my devices. I used to but it has stopped I don’t have an Apple Watch.
