Loss of Connection
Device loses connection after being powered on or while having already been connected.
Dead Battery
When the speaker’s battery gets too low the speaker may die which will make the user lose connection. To fix this the speaker must be charged, it takes around 4 hours to charge to 100%
Loss of bluetooth connection
The speaker requires bluetooth to receive audio from other devices. A simple solution is to try getting closer to the speaker since the further the distance between the two devices, the harder it is for bluetooth signals to be transferred. If this does not work try restarting the speaker and turning bluetooth on and off attempting to be paired with the speaker.
Fail to charge
The speaker will not power on.
Faulty Charging Cable
Check to make sure that the charging cable is plugged into an outlet. If the speaker doesn’t charge you can attempt to charge it with another cable or attempt to charge another device with the charging cable to rule out if this is an issue with the speaker or the cable.
Faulty charging port
The port in which the charging cable plugs into the speaker may be broken or dirty. This would mean that the speaker is not getting charged. To replace this see the replacement guide on how to replace a charging port on the Bose Soundlink Flex
Faulty Battery
If the speaker only powers on when the charger is plugged in then this may be a sign that the battery is faulty since it is no longer holding a charge. To replace the battery see the guide regarding replacing battery on the Bose Soundlink Flex.
Speaker sound is lacking bass
The speaker is playing music but it sounds like it has little to no bass.
Device is dirty
The device may be dirty preventing clear sounds to go through. To fix this try cleaning the grille of the speaker to remove excess dirt and dust.
The radiator is broken
The device radiator may be broken. The radiator acts somewhat as a subwoofer and improves the bass within the speaker. To fix this see the guide on how to replace a Bose Soundlink Flex radiator.
No audio
No audio is coming the speaker.
Audio is not playing
Make sure the device you are trying to connect is playing audio to check this turn off bluetooth and see if the device will play audio.
Not connected to bluetooth
To troubleshoot this make sure the speaker is connected to bluetooth. To do this make sure the speaker is turned on and in pair mode, then go into the device settings on the device you wish to pair and go to bluetooth and connect to the Bose Soundlink Flex speaker. Damaged speaker
The speaker in the device could be damaged which means that the Bose Soundlink Flex can not play any audio. To repair this see the repair guide for speaker replacement.
Fuzzy Audio
Audio is playing but not clearly
Speaker is dirty
Try cleaning the grille of the speaker since excess dust and dirt can make the audio from the speaker sound fuzzy and not clear.
Speaker cone damage
This could be due to speaker cone damage. The cones of the speakers can be damaged due to mishandling, excessive force, or environmental factors Tears or punctures in the cone can affect sound quality. To fix this see the replacement guide for replacing a speaker on the Bose Soundlink Flex.
Fail to Power On
Device is completely dead or broken and will not turn on.
Power supply problems
Issues with the power supply, such as a blown fuse or malfunctioning power adapter, can cause the speaker to stop working altogether. To learn more about this see Fail to charge.
Water Damage
Exposure to moisture or water can damage internal components of the speaker, leading to malfunction or complete failure.
