Will Not Connect to Wi-Fi
Echo Show 5 refuses to connect to a Wi-Fi network.
Wi-Fi Network May Be Down
Verify that other devices are connected to your Wi-Fi network.
Wi-Fi Network is Overcrowded
Disconnect some devices from your Wi-Fi network. Too many devices or a few devices can cause a network to slow down and cause connectivity issues.
Device Is Out of Range of the Modem
Make sure your device is within 30 feet (10 meters) of your Wi-Fi modem. Wi-Fi connectivity degrades over distance and when it passes through multiple walls.
Other Devices Are Causing Interference
Remove your device from the proximity of devices that draw a lot of power.
The Connection Is Faulty Between the Devices
Try disconnecting from the Wi-Fi network and reconnecting your device.
Device Has Not Been Restarted
Try unplugging your Amazon Echo Show 5 and plugging it back in. Devices sometimes need to restart to repair certain issues.
Turn your router on and off again. Like your Amazon Echo Show 5, your router may need to restart to repair certain issues.
Authentication Information Was Recently Changed
If you recently changed the password on your Wi-Fi modem, swipe down and tap Settings. Select Network Settings, then click on the network you want to connect to and enter the new password.
Device Has Not Been Restarted
Reset your device from the Amazon Alexa App. Say “Go to Settings” to your Echo Show or swipe down and tap Settings. Select Device Options > Reset to Factory Defaults but Retain Smart Home Device Connections.
Faulty Motherboard
The Wi-Fi module on the main board may be damaged, consider replacing the motherboard. Refer to the Amazon Echo Show 5 Motherboard Replacement Guide.
Will Not Connect to Bluetooth
The device will not connect to other Bluetooth devices.
Bluetooth Is Disabled
Make sure to check that Bluetooth is enabled on both devices before attempting to pair. Swipe down and tap Settings. Select Bluetooth, then click on the device you are trying to pair. Note that some devices like phones will require the user to allow new connections before it becomes visible on the Amazon Echo Show 5.
Blocked Signal
Move any device you are trying to pair close to each other and away from any objects that may interfere with the signal. Objects such as walls and furniture can block Bluetooth signals and prevent pairing.
A Device May Already Be Connected
Swipe down and select settings, then select Bluetooth and verify that no other devices are connected.
Will Not Connect to Other Smart Devices
Fails to connect to other smart devices.
Not in Range of Other Smart Devices
Try restarting the Wi-Fi on the Echo Show 5 and see if that resolves the problem. Bring the Echo Show 5 closer to the other device you want to connect to. Having them connect farther apart makes it harder for the devices because the connection must travel farther. Make sure both devices are on the same network. If they are not, put both devices on the same network and try connecting them again.
Bluetooth Is Not Turned On
Swipe down go to Settings > Bluetooth, and make sure Bluetooth is turned on
Device Has Not Been Restarted
Press and hold the Mute Mic button on the top of the device for approximately 5 seconds. You will be prompted to “Power off the device” and then simply press “Yes”. To power it back on simply press and hold the same button.
Software Has Not Been Updated
Swipe down go to settings > Device Options > Check for Software Updates and confirm that the latest software update has been installed.
Screen flickering
A flashing effect that appears on the device's screen.
Device Is Running Too Hard
Swipe down and adjust the slider to turn down the brightness on your device.
Device Has Not Been Restarted
Try unplugging your device and plugging your device back in. Devices sometimes need to restart to repair certain issues.
Other Devices Are Causing Interference
Remove your device from the proximity of devices that draw a lot of power. Some devices cause Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI) that can cause issues with displays.
Incorrect/Faulty Power Adapter
Verify that you are using the correct power adapter that arrived with the Echo Show 5. If you are not, use the correct adapter to see if the issue persists.
Faulty Display
Your display or the connections to the display are damaged. Water damage and physical damage can cause a screen to flicker. Refer to the Amazon Echo Show 5 Display Replacement Guide.Screen Not Responding
The screen on the device won’t respond or appears to be broken.
Screen Not Receiving Power
If the device is not responding at all the power adapter may be disconnected. Ensure that the power adapter is fully inserted in both the device as well as the wall outlet. If the screen turns on and the device functions properly the issue has been resolved.
Broken Screen
If the screen has any obvious scratches or cracks that cause the screen to malfunction or not respond, it can be replaced by referring to the Amazon Echo Show 5 Display Replacement Guide.
Faulty Display
If the power adapter is correctly connected and there are no visible breaks in the screen, make sure that the screen is on and no buttons are pressed. If the screen is turned on and all buttons are functional, consider purchasing a replacement display. Refer to the Amazon Echo Show 5 Display Replacement Guide.
Device Won’t Power On
The device will not respond or show any sign of powering up.
Faulty Power Adapter/Port
Make sure the power adapter is plugged in all the way. Then press and hold the Mute Mic Button to turn on the device. If the device does not turn on, the adapter could be faulty. Consider purchasing a replacement adapter.
If the adapter is not damaged, then check that it is connected to the device and that the port on the device does not have any debris or dirt buildup. If it does, then clean the port and connect again.
If the power port seems damaged (bent or missing pin), then it may need to be removed and replaced. Consider replacing the power port. This can be accomplished by referencing our DC Power Jack Replacement Guide.
Faulty Motherboard
If the port is undamaged and the power adapter is tested on another device and works, the device may have a faulty motherboard. Consider replacing the motherboard. The motherboard can be replaced by referring to the Amazon Echo Show 5 Motherboard Replacement Guide.
Buttons Are Unresponsive
The device powers in and has touchscreen capability but the buttons are unresponsive.
Faulty Contacts/Button
The buttons can be replaced by following our Microphone Replacement Guide. Microphones and Buttons are attached to the same internal board.
No or Distorted Audio
Your device produces distorted audio if any at all.
Device Is Muted
The Echo Show 5 may not have any audio due to the volume settings. Make sure that the volume is on by locating the top of the device. Then press the “+” button to increase the volume.
Damaged Speakers
First, hold down the Mute Mic Button until there is a prompt to shut down the device then hit yes. After a minute hold the button again to power it on. If the problem persists, locate the speaker which is on the opposite side of the screen. You may need to investigate further into this device. Remove any excess covering to get to the hardware of the speaker. Once you find it check for any broken or damaged coils. A burnt smell could be a good indicator that it is damaged. Once the speaker is found and you’ve determined that the speaker is broken, referer to the Amazon Echo Show 5 Speaker Replacement Guide.
Speakers Are Overworked
Hold down the Mute Mic Button until there is a prompt to shut down the device then hit yes. Then press and hold the Mute Mic Button to turn on the device. See if you experience the same distortion when the device operates at a lower volume. Usually, at a high volume, it produces more heat in a device which can cause heat damage. Thus, operating at a lower volume can prolong the speaker’s life.
Wired External Audio Outputs Won’t Work
Your device functions normally but wired audio outputs are not producing sound.
Faulty Audio Output Port
If the device plays audio through the internal speaker but not through an auxiliary cable connected to an external speaker, then either the auxiliary port is faulty, the auxiliary cable has a break in the wire, or the external speaker is not functioning properly. Consider buying a replacement auxiliary port if the auxiliary cord and speaker are found to be operational. The auxiliary cord can be replaced by referring to the Amazon Echo Show 5 DC Power Jack Replacement Guide.

My photo screen is not working
Georgia Sawhook - Yanıt
Mine was running fine but suddenly it's not working. It's just stuck at the Amazon logo. I have tried (multiple) hard-reset, clean-cache, etc. but it's not getting past the Amazon logo. Any idea what I can do at this point?
Thank you
