The phone has difficulty connecting to wifi.

It is possible your wifi is turned off. Turn on the wifi from your menu settings.

It is possible your wifi network password is wrong. Try reconnecting the network by going to system settings. In system settings, go to the wifi setting. Tap and hold "connected network" and then tap "forget network." After you forget the network, tap the network you want to connect to and enter the correct password. Tap connect. If this doesn't fix the problem, try a soft reset by turning off the phone, removing the battery for 10 seconds, then replacing the battery and rebooting.

The phone’s screen is frozen and will not respond to any form of input.

It is possible that your phone is running out of memory. When you have lots of programs running at once it eats up the available Random Access Memory (RAM) and can cause your phone to run slowly or freeze up completely. Try resetting the phone by turning the power off and back on. If freezing persists you may be overworking the ram. Try closing background applications you don’t need or not running too many applications at one time.

Try resetting the phone. If this doesn’t work you may need to replace the motherboard by using this guide.

The phone’s screen unexpectedly stops responding to your touch

If the screen stops responding to your touch it is possible the glass screen needs to be replaced. Visit the iFixit parts page and order a new screen for the device.

If the keyboard is unresponsive, try resetting the phone by turning the power off and back on. If the keyboard continues to be unresponsive, you will have to go to your settings and reset your phone to its default settings. If keyboard continues to be unresponsive then you will have to factory reset your device.

The phone’s getting too hot and causing it to power off or not run properly.

It is possible that your phone is running out of memory. When you have lots of programs running at once it eats up the available Random Access Memory (RAM) and can cause your phone to run slowly or freeze up completely. Try shutting down the phone and letting it cool off for 10 minutes. If it still gets really hot when turning back on, you may be overworking the ram and/or CPU. Try closing background applications you don’t need or not running too many applications at one time.

The battery dies quickly after little phone use.

It is possible your battery life is being eaten up by the amount of programs running. Try closing apps that are running in the background. Turn off location settings when applications are not in use by going to system settings, tap "location", then tap the location switch to disable location services. Enable power save mode as often as possible. Also consider downloading "Doze" - an application that works in the background to prevent unnecessary data from being sent and received which is a default in android devices.

It is possible your screen brightness is up too high reducing the overall battery life. Try turning off the "automatic brightness" in settings.

It is possible charging your phone multiple times a day can reduce overall battery life. Try calibrating your phone by allowing the battery to die before charging it fully to extend its optimal battery life.

The phone’s remaining power won’t increase although it is plugged in to charge.

It is possible the charging port is being obstructed by dirt not allowing it to function properly. Inspect the charging port on the phone and see if any debris or dust is inside the port. Carefully try to dislodge and remove the debris that may be causing the port and charger to not make direct contact with each other.

It is possible the charger assembly is faulty. The charger assembly may need to be replaced, use this guide as a reference.

The phone’s power button stops responding when it is pressed.

Inspect the power button, and if it’s really hard to press, then the membrane of the power button is dirty causing it to malfunction. To check if the membrane is dirty, open the back housing of the phone and check the power button (follow steps 1-4). If you see any dirt in the membrane, use a small piece air compressor to remove the debris from the membrane.

If the power button isn't working correctly after cleaning the membrane of the power button, it may be broken. In this case, you will need to replace the power button. Please see the instructions on how to remove the power button.

Power Button Replacement

You are unable to install or update applications on your phone.

It is possible your phone is running low on memory, and the application does not have the required amount of memory it needs to install. Try deleting applications to clear up space, moving applications to your memory card, or clearing the applications cache. To clear the application cache go to system settings and tap on apps. Once you're in apps, tap on "all" and select your preferred application. In that application manager, tap "clear cache."

It is possible the Google Play Store is taking up too much space in your phone. Try clearing the store data to resolve this issue. To do this go to your system settings and tap on "application manager." Once in the application manager, tap the "All Tab" then find and tap on the Google Play Store app. Once you're in the Google Play app manager, tap "clear data."

It is possible the Google Play Store has a problem with its cache. Try clearing the store cache to resolve this issue. Go to your system settings and tap on "application manager." Once in the application manager, tap the "All Tab" then find and tap on the Google Play Store app. Once you're in the Google Play app manager, tap "clear cache." You can automate this process by downloading programs such as App Cache Cleaner or Clean Master which can be purchased right in the Google Play store.

The phone has trouble connecting to your cellular provider.

Check to make sure mobile data is turned on. If this doesn't help you can also try resetting your connection with your provider.

It is possible airplane mode is turned on. Check to make sure Airplane Mode is disabled/off.

Check your data plan to see if you have exceeded the data limit. If so, consider upgrading to a larger data plan.

It is possible your phone has been working on too many things. Try rebooting your phone back to its factory settings. To do this turn off your phone, hold the volume buttons and the power button until the screen lights up. Select "wipe data/factory reset" using the volume buttons to scroll and the power button to confirm the selected choice. Select "yes - delete all data," then choose "reboot system now."
