Device Will Not Power On
Indoor Security Camera will not turn on
The Wi-Fi connection is not successful
Make sure that the connection is successful by checking your router and ensuring that your Wi-Fi password is correct. If the camera is still having issues connecting to Wi-Fi, reset the router and try again once it’s back up.
There are no lights indicating power
Reboot the camera by pressing the power button as if it is already on and wait about 5 seconds before pressing the power again. Reset the camera by pressing the reset button located on the back (use a pin to press it).
No Wi-Fi Connection
Indoor Security Camera has no Wi-Fi Connections.
The camera is too far from the Wi-Fi router
Wi-Fi routers can only transmit signals over a certain distance. Try moving your security cameras closer to the signal source at the Wi-Fi router.
Wi-Fi Connection Obstructed
Sometimes Wi-Fi signal can be blocked by objects lying between the source of the signal and the receiver. If moving the camera does not solve the problem, look for objects that may be blocking the signal, move them and test the connection again.
Motion Fails to Trigger Recording
Indoor Security Camera won’t begin recording when detecting motion.
Lens is Blocked
Objects may be obscuring the desired view from the camera’s line of sight. Check the camera’s surroundings and move any object that may be blocking the view. If that is not the case, try moving the camera to a more open area with few objects in the line of sight of the camera.
Low-Traffic Area
If the motion sensor works sometimes but not always, there may be little to no movement going on in the camera’s view. Moving the camera to a location with high amounts of traffic will give the most suitable results.
Motion Sensor Malfunction
If the motion sensor does not respond to motion directly close to the camera lens in view, clean the lens of the motion sensor. If the motion sensor is still unresponsive, check for any amount of damage to the sensor. If damage has occurred, repair or replacement may be needed.
Not Recording at Night
Indoor Security Camera won’t record at night or dim lighting.
Lighting
Bright lights that are too close to or directly shown into the camera lens can damage the camera’s receptors. Turn off any external lights that may interfere with the night vision functionality while operating. If the issue continues, check for damage and replace as needed.
Infrared LEDs
The infrared LEDs included in the camera may not be producing enough light for the camera to pick up a clear image. Make sure the LEDs are functioning properly and check for damaged connections to make repairs or replacements needed. Refer to this guide for help determining the cause.
Poor or No Audio
Bad audio quality is coming from the security camera
Wi-Fi Router not working properly
If the audio sent from the security camera is poor or there’s no audio being received to your security camera it may be due to a Wi-Fi issue. To fix this issue, ensure that the Wi-Fi router, the one the camera is connected to, is working properly and that the device is close enough to the router.
The microphone is not working properly
If the Wi-Fi signal to the security camera is working properly and the camera is close enough to the router, then it may be an issue with the microphone within the device. To replace the microphone follow the guide here.
Micro SD Card Not Saving
Incompatible Micro SD card.
Micro SD Card not formatted
If the inserted Micro SD card has been used in another electronic device the camera may fail to recognize the Micro SD card. If this happens, format the Micro SD card with a computer and then try again. To format an SD card follow this guide.
Note that some Micro SD cards out of the box may not automatically work with the device. If this is the case, format the device with a computer and try again. For further assistance changing, checking, or replacing the Micro SD card refer to the repair guide to replace the SD card here.
Camera quality is grainy
The video quality produced by the camera will not record or is impaired.
Camera Lens is Dirty
If the lens of the camera is dirty, use a clean cloth and a light cleaning solution. Put on the cloth a light amount of cleaning solution and gently use the cloth to rub off any impurities on the lens in circular motions. Let the solution dry, turn on the camera on and begin recording again.
Whitewashed image
If the image quality looks white or washed out, the cause may be a whitewash. Whitewash can occur when bright light is directed towards the camera lens, obscuring the view. Check any surrounding lighting and move your cameras accordingly, or dim the lighting around it.
Camera is overheated
Power of the camera. Once fully powered off, secure the camera in a room-temperature space for at least 20 minutes. Once the camera is cooled down, power the camera back on and resume recording.
Camera Lens is Broken
Ensure that the camera is clean and is working in nominal conditions. If it is not any of these issues, you can determine that the camera lens is broken. Refer to the Swann Wi-Fi Indoor Security Camera repair guide to replace the camera lens here.

We have a 1080p Pan and tilt camera at home and at work. They are on separate Wi-Fi networks. Last week our work camera was flashing red light. We couldn't get it to connect to the Wi-Fi. We reset the router and reset the camera and still couldn't get it to work. We ended up having to cable it to get it to work on the network. Today our home camera has done the same thing. It was flashing red and it will not connect to the Wi-Fi. Can someone please let us know if there is an update that we need to do or if there is something else that we can do to make them work on the Wi-Fi again. Thank you.

Hi there,
My camera continually disconnects from the wifi and we can the no signal indicator when we load the app.
We are constantly having to restart our modem just to get it to reconnect and it's basically unusable as it's constantly needing to be restarted.
Our camera setup outside is only 3 metres away from our wireless modem and only has glass to pass through.
Can you possibly help please?

How does this site work? I’ve got the same problem as many of the previous posters, my Swann Security Tracker camera keeps disconnecting from the home wifi and now it simply refuses to connect. I bought Swann true detect wireless cameras but I cannot pair them to my iphone. It says No internet connection. In pairing mode it pairs half way then says cannot connect. So frustrating

Bought it on Sunday, worked sunday & monday, we had a black out monday night, now the camera won't connect to the wifi. Nothing wrong with the internet or router as I work from home and it works every day. camera sits on the same cupboard as the router. pressed the reset button multiple times, tried pairing multiple times, just won't connect. Displays Device Status OFF, when reconnect is requested, it displays connecting for minutes, then the app closes.

I have a Swann xtreem camera and I'm very unhappy with this purchase. The software absolutely sucks, for example when the camera sends an alert to my phone the link only shows a still frame and there is no time stamp that makes it useless. This mo I left my house and the camera saw me perfectly but when I returned 45mins later there was no alert or recording.
I think the camera is probably OK it's just the software
